The Vinayaka Mission Hospital & Royal College of General Practitioners, UK had it's first Graduation Day for the Courses Diploma in Family Medicine [DFM, RCGP] & Diploma in Emergency Medicine [DEM, RCGP] on April 25, 2011 Monday in Annapoorna Hall inside the hospital campus, the chairman from Vinayaka Mission Hospital (Dr.A.Shanmugasundaram) & Medical Director from RCGP (Dr.Garth Manning) where present in the function. The Director of the hospital Mr.N.V.Chandrasekar addressed to the students.

       The faculty members from the hospital & RCGP highlighted the importance of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine in the field of Medical Fraternity and they also said this course has spread its wings to all the other common wealth countries also. Students who attended the Viva-voce have got cent percent results and they went with flying colors.

The function was also graced with Dr.V.R.Rajendran Vice Chancellor, Dr.Y.Abraham Registrar, Dr.A.Balasundaram Controller of examinations, Vinayaka Missions University and Dr.K.Ezhilvendan, Medical Director, Dr.K.Mennakshisundaram, Deputy Director, Dr. R. Krishnachetty, Course Director (RCGP) Vinayaka Mission Hospital.

Dr.B.Sendiilkumar the Chief - Academics and the RCGP Course Co-ordinator gave the vote of Thanks followed by a high tea party to the Faculties and the students.

RCGP has association with only few colleges in India; among that VMH is one for these programs.
